The street facing facade reveals the overlap of the pre-engineered metal building and the corten steel wall that wraps it.

GLASS EXTERIOR
The glassy apparatus bay showcases the fire engines, communicating the building’s function and use.

APPARATUS BAY
The apparatus bay juts out of the wall, reaching out to the community, while the lobby is pulled back, inviting visitors in.

LOBBY
The public lobby is bright and inviting — floor-to-ceiling glass allows the surrounding grasslands to be incorporated within the space.

SLIT WINDOWS
Slit windows are placed at various heights (clerestory, standing, and sitting) depending on each use within.
