Teresa’s Cafe
This 4,000 SF cafe is located on the first level of a 4 story office building in Lower Downtown Denver. The space was originally utilized as a loading and service dock with a sloped concrete floor and no exterior windows.
Changes to the building exterior included a wall of glass visually connecting the bar and waiting area to the street. A 60 foot long suspended, arched steel beam was added to the exterior to activate the street façade and provide a significant urban signage element.
Interior interventions include perforated steel and wood elements and a galvanized metal circular volume that contains restrooms and storage facilities.
